Silvester / New Year's Eve

Silvester...

New Year's Eve...
where in a circle is the end, where the beginning?
This is why I didn't wanna celebrate that day.
But, maybe it isn't a a circle,
but rather a spriral?

Silvester
ist eine Nacht der 12 Rauhnächte zwischen dem 25. Dezember und dem 6. Januar:

New Year's Eve
is one of the 12 Holy Nights between the 25th of December and the 6th of Jauary:
The animals can speak - and evil spirits...

Thank God they pass with noise and incense stick!

Do you remember the lily of the valley? What a pity, but they didn't grown since yet.
Even the hydrangea is toasted...

Oh, have a look: there's hope...  a new sprout is coming!

But it does move!

Here are 12 collages representing an of end-of-the-year review... or a kind of preview...

I wish you a very Happy New Year 2012!

Some crocheted flakes stick at the pane...
The  fourth  candle burns - its high time to bake biscuits!
The Queen of the Castle at the Eisenbach and the Princesses get cracking: Hands, butterflies and horses are fast baked. Angels and firs, hearts and stars follows.

Drawing challenge: HAT

Behind branches of Larches she discovers a hat.

Its a magical hat.

As she put on this hat, she sees angels dancing in heaven!

One of the angels lost her hat while they dance together...

Maybe one day you'll find a small 'Fingerhut' (german word for 'thimble') ...

This week's drawing challenge with theme HAT is hosted by
sweet, well protected Greta the adventurer,
daughter of Rachel.
At her last post 'What we did' at Hi Happy Panda, she's using a thimble, a hat for the finger to protect them during sewing.

Of course, you'll find at here place much more beautiful hats!

No. 44 Greta with 'HAT' at the 17.+18.12.2011

No. 45 Ariane with 'Teatime' 14.+15.01.2012

Kleine Lichter hier und da / Small lights here and there

Early in the morning it is still dark in the Castle at the Eisenbach.
It helps to switch on some lights.
Even outside...

Her familiar childhood friend
the Queen of the Castle sees in the Condi Lounge of the Fairmont Hotel Four Seasons.

At dark the Countess of Eppenthorpe
together with her youngest Princess arrives the Castle.

Looking at those figures of artist Kira Kotliar the kiddos of Rachel comes in my mind.

Do you know the theme for next weekend's drawing challenge?
Its 'HAT'. Our host is sweet Greta the adventurer.
