Ostern

Gütiger Himmel! was für eine Auferstehung!
Es ist warm wie im Sommer.
Wir fahren in den Garten von Isolde und staunen und genießen.

Good Heavens! what a resurrection!
Its warm like in summer time.
We drive in the garden of Isolde and marvel and enjoy.

Mit der Gräfin von Falkenstein
feiern wir Lisbeths 107. Geburtstag an deren Grab
und lassen sie auferstehen.
Ich pflanze ihr weiße Elfenspiegel in die Decke.

Together with the Countess of Falconsstone
we celebrate Lisbeth's 107. day of birth on her grave and let her revive.
I plant white Nemesia on her blanket.

Die Vase finde ich auf dem Flohmarkt
und die blauen Schwertlilien verblassen langsam.

This vase I find at the flea market
and the blue irises fade away slowly.

                                                                                                                                (Osterspaziergang, Faust I,  Goethe)

With the whole family we move to our friends in the countryside,
take a stroll along the fish ponds and range through the forest.

 'High and low shout happily:
Here I am human, here dare it to be.'
                                                                                                                                     (Easter walk, Faust I, Goethe)

  1. Beautiful pictures, as always. The first one with the parasol is my favourite. Sounds like you had a beautiful time also.

Who's been hosting the drawing challenge? I've been away and have lost track..?

  2. Dear Elisabeth,
I've made the first pic for you!...

The drawing challenge have had a little Easter-break. There is no new host since now.
So, maybe you are our host for next week (30.04./01.05.)?

I'll come to your place later. Nice, your're back.
    Love, Ariane.

  3. Hi Ariane! I'll be happy to host the drawing challenge this week if nobody else wants to? I'll present a theme this Wednesday. Or do you think that would be too late?

  10. Oh, hi Imogen,
    thank you darling.

    Dear Rachel,
I look forward to drawing again, too...have missed our meeting.
So, you'll find time to draw, california girl?
Do you spend more as two month at your home or have to move again?
Wish you a happy goodbye and a happy coming home.

    Ha, dear Nadine,
I have to look at the dictionary to translate the word 'flabbergasted'...
When I saw the vase at the flea market I was pleasantly surprised...and flabbergasted because of the prize of 3 Euro! Clearly...Give it to me!

    Liebe Mano,

    Alles Liebe,

    Ariane, la Rose
