update: Mustermix

At Sunday I sit lurking under the awning of the café.
I admire the ornament here and hope that the door opens to the cool staircase... ha! Here has truly someone off steam!

Actually it continues outside with the wild mix of pattern {well shielded}.

Davor und dahinter.

In front and behind.

Wish you a happy day!
See you soon with the drawing challenge, right?

update: sweet woolfy Nadeschda will be our host at this weekend 15th + 16th of August!
             Her theme is IMAGE

Verbonden

Mirabilia, Orielle, a brooch by Lyndie Dourthe
{even the box with the eye of pic #1 is from her}
on small plates that I have made for the Gala Dinner)

A pleasure ever again, when artwork arrive at the Lionpalace.

If I know the artist also and know, at whose artist's place where printed,
I am particularly glad and voel me verbonden :-)
Hartelijk dank!

Hartelijk dank!

Verbindung Connectie Relation-ship

I started with this blog nearly six years ago. At that time I have worked only two days a week.
Today I added much more social media contacts like fb, IG and even Pinterest and WhatsApp and I doubled my working hours. It's crazy!
I love the contact(s) with you, but at the same time I have the feeling, that I lost some contacts. I miss the deeper involvement in the early days. Hm...

Alter Elbtunnel

At the Old Elbe Tunnel I haven't been for a long time.
In my childhood that was the way from Wilhelmsburg (an island in the River Elbe, part of the city)
to the Sunday fish market at the northern waterfront. A small clang of the cap of the sewer, as a bike drives over it and 'Hey presto!' I am sitting in a bike seat up there in the front at my father's (and my sis at mom's: to jingle verboten!)
With a outside temperature of 30°C it is still wonderful chilly down here and today I am going with my family in reverse direction through the tube under the river Elbe.

Over her, and again in the heat, we enjoy some ice-cream, the fresh breeze and the view, before our redheaded daughters wanna go into the coldness of the tunnel, again.

And right there, 21m under the mean high water, friends unenspectedly come ours way! After a hearty hello we continue on, past the station Landungsbrücken to the neighborhood of the Portuguese

Schon mal probiert?

and there we revive our holidays in spring.
To be as a tourist on the road of your home town can be so refreshing!
Did you ever try?

August, Anfang

It was one of these first days of August:
Hardly showed a teasing white cloudlet on blue ground, one had forgotten already, what grey may mean. As well smooth green... (Nature, Nature, I am your bride!)

Together with the Youngest it goes over rotten bridges and refreshing brooks through the woods

since the curtains rises and before them a chirping cornfield gushes.

Beside the crickets one can hear a crackle, quite dainty, it comes from the ear.
'Do I hear this really for the very first time?'

(did you heard this before?)

They come upon the siblings from the River Nile on their round and

later they move homewards with 99 lights in the heart.

PS:
Thank you very much for your comments on my last post! Inspiring and encouraging.
Love,
