DC #8: BIRD

All the birds are here already, all the birds, all. ...

The Yellowhammer-cock is singing onomatopoeic (translation into english):
"And how how how I love youuuu."

Solange die Tauben sich am Vogelhäuschen vollfuttern...

As long as the pigeons eat like a horse at the bird house...

...the other birds are waiting in the branches of willow.

The  theme of this week is "bird".

Thank you for this word, kära Elisabeth, thank you for this challenge, simply to draw again.

The birds, that I painted on china plates, brushed with eggtempera on canvas and sticked together from paper chips, broke through and flooded out of me. - Truly lovelier as that horror of Japan... my thoughts and prayers go out to the people there.

  2. You have beautiful birds everywhere.

Seems like the safest place to be at the moment is in the sky.

thank you. And, yes, enjoy the sun!

    Dear Carmel,
you're right...the safest place at the moment seems to be the sky.
And I really hope that there is no nuclear catastrophe coming next...!

  11. Dear Patrice,
thank you - the paper-snip-birds are a surprise for me... they flew out of my imagination - that fits.

    Dear Elisabeth,
your comment is a honor! Thank you.

    Dear Nadine,
hahaha, the relationship between egg-tempera and birds wasn't aware for me...

Dear Rachel and dear Milady Stephanie... I'll come to you later... have to make breakfast for my hungry birdies ♥

  13. hello :) I love your delicate paper chip songbirds. I am new to drawing challenge and finding so much inspiration. Thank you for sharing your birds.

  14. Dear Rachel,
thank you. For a long time the birds were nesting in my mind. Long enough hatched! Here comes the tutorial:
First cut the silhouette in card, then take an old mag and find the right colour of paper (similar to bird). Then rip the paper in peaces and stick it on the bird-silhouette. If protrudes some coloured paper than cut it along the shape of the bird - voilà!

    Dear Milady Stephanie,
yes, I did it with the porcelain marker. Just allow the paint to dry for 24 hours; no heat is necessary.

    Dear Sara,
so you have a nice cup of tea at bird-watching this weekend? Love that image.

    Dear 'justahumblebee',
thank you - and nice to meet you.

Was will er nur vom Lenze?

Komm, Mutter, reich mir meine Mandoline,
stell mir den Kaffee auf den Küchentritt. –
Schon dröhnt mein Baß: Sabine, bine, bine ...

Was will man tun? Man macht es schließlich mit.
